The evaluation
What is the Chronos evaluation?
A trading challenge on a simulated account. You show you can make a profit while managing risk inside fixed limits. Pass and you trade a Chronos funded account and keep up to 80% of the profit.
What is the difference between 1-Step and 2-Step?
The 1-Step has a single phase with a 10% profit target. The 2-Step has two phases with lower targets (8% then 5%). Both use the same 3% daily loss and 5% maximum loss. 1-Step is faster; 2-Step gives you a lower target in each phase.
Which challenge should I choose?
If you trade aggressively and want funding quickly, the 1-Step. If you prefer steady, smaller gains, the 2-Step: each phase target is easier to reach while the loss limits are the same.
Allowed trading
Can I hold positions over the weekend?
Yes. Weekend and overnight holding is allowed on evaluation and funded accounts. Remember that prices can gap at the open and swaps apply.
Can I trade during news?
Yes. News trading is allowed on all accounts. Spreads widen and slippage is higher around major releases, and losses still count towards your limits.
Are Expert Advisors (EAs) allowed?
Yes, your own EAs and algorithms are allowed. EAs that exploit price-feed delays, latency arbitrage, tick scalping or platform errors are not.
Breaches
What happens if I breach a rule?
Open positions are closed and pending orders cancelled immediately. The account stays visible in your cabinet with its full history, but new trades are blocked.
Do I get an email when I breach?
Yes. You receive an email and the reason is shown on the account page in your cabinet.
Can I reset a breached account?
No. A breached account cannot be reopened. You can start a new challenge at any time.
Funded accounts & payouts
What are the rules on a funded account?
The same 3% daily loss and 5% static maximum loss. There is no profit target and no minimum days.
How much of the profit do I keep?
Up to 80% of the profit you make on the funded account.
How often can I request a payout?
Every 14 days. Your first payout can be requested 14 days after your first trade on the funded account.
